Hey....this should have been done like two hours ago, but I was reading Magnus Chase, so whatever.
Anyways, mental health. What a topic. We need to get better at managing ourselves, huh? That's okay, though, because it's all a process that isn't linear. "One day a time" is the only thing that can be handled, it seems like. Checking off all the items on a to-do list is fulfilling goal. But it doesn't all need to be completed for a day to be productive
The small things were what got me through today. My favorite jean jacket. It was rainy and cold outside in fall, which is my favorite season. The songs I listened to (haha, my Spotify is linked if y'all wanna see that train wreck).
Checking in with your friends can go a long way. Call your best friend if you haven't messaged them in a while. Make a hot drink and wrap up in a cozy blanket. Don't push yourself too hard, because burnout is not pleasant to experience.
Taking breaks for your mental health doesn't make you weak. If you need to step away and go do something that will calm your nerves and steady your mind, do it.
Get some water because it literally fixes so many issues. Sleep is always good (do what I say, not what I do in this scenario)
Remind yourself that you are loved by those around you and most importantly, yourself.
This YouTube account, https://www.youtube.com/c/wholesomesimon is for mental health, especially if you're struggling with anxiety and need something to keep you going.
Reach out if you ever need advice or a shoulder to cry on, because I'm here for you :)
Be kind to yourself. The sun is still shining, even if you can't see it sometimes.
Peace.
