Take life by the reins
Seems to be common saying for most
Is it an array of things we long for
Or is it a specific taste
Of pleasure or pain, depends who you are
And what’s hurt you before
Is only a scratch now
Subtle sounds of night
Are enough to calm the senses
Heighten the sense that
The world may be burning
But it also shines brighter with
The million stars sparking in the sky, asking to be claimed
Nothing is enough but so is everything
In racked twilight skies, the several vibrances battling
For absolute dominance as the light,
The main source of color, begins to
Fade and diminish
Leaving its younger but ethereal other side
All aligned, synchronized and perfect
Fireflies and Christmas light
Just glow but they spread
Their uniqueness to people
Who have lost interest in looking long ago
Simply observing the music of the night is worthwhile in itself
Providing a comfort without words
When language would break the delicate harmonies
That might shatter otherwise
Their purpose is a simple one, yet so endearing
That it ignites a need and an unruly desire...to live.
Live in the truest aspect
Life is full of wrong but to
Harness chaos is to find that peace.
